The Salesforce Chatter app recently got a nice face lift for iOS and Android devices. It was a handy app before, but now it’s a much more powerful one. Why? Simply the addition of records to the app. Now you can look up all the details or related records on any record (normally visible to you on the desktop) and post to its feed directly. When posting, you can continue to use @mention and use #topic tags like before. Here are a few screen shots from a Galaxy S3:
If you’re like me you’ll find that you can collaborate much more while out of the office by having access to all your records, their details and their feeds. You can also post pictures and in the iOS version post polls and tasks. However, if you’re looking to edit records you’re still going to use need the main Salesforce app for iOS or Android. If you’d prefer to use the new Salesforce Touch, it’s only available on iPads officially for now but here is a workaround for iPhone and Android users.
